Dr Abigail Miranda

Overview

Dr Miranda is the Head of Early Years & Prevention (EY&P) department at AFNCCF. An Educational and Child Psychologist (EP) specialising in the early years, Dr Miranda has worked with health, education and social care professionals to co-design training for the workforce on topics such as attachment, trauma-informed practice, and supporting children’s wellbeing through play, as well as working directly with parents and carers of children with additional needs. Dr Miranda has supported staff using consultative, supervisory and reflective approaches. Whilst working as an EP, Dr Miranda trained professionals on culturally responsive approaches to practice, including raising awareness around intergenerational trauma.
